A nice relaxing train ride

I am done, and ON TIME!

This picture is for MadMouseMedia's art calendar. I...don't know what to say about it, exactly. I dedicated myself to this picture more than just about anything I'd ever worked on before, and it definitely paid off. Typically, I just run with my whims. If something doesn't catch my interest immediately, I just drop it. So, this i's something new and important to me.

When I worked out the concept for this (I actually worked out the concept! All professional-like!), I purposely challenged myself, because I knew there was a lot I could do that I'd never tried...and it turns out, there're some things that I can do that I didn't know I could! It definitely feels good to stretch my abilities like that. I think I need to do more work like this. It kinda took forever, but then that partly had to do with the fact that my computer was dying and kept rebooting itself randomly. Two steps forward, one step back, eh? A couple of times, I lost bits that I was really proud of, but on the whole, I think it turned out to be a positive thing, as I will say that it forced me to practice technique a lot.

So anyway, there it stands. By far the most elaborate, and probably the most successful, thing I've done to date. Let's see how long I stay proud of it.
